Description
The sans-I/O QUIC connection and endpoint, ported from quinn-proto: the
Connection state machine (handshake, packet assembly and
processing, key updates, closing and draining), the Endpoint that routes datagrams and answers with Version
Negotiation, Retry and stateless resets, their configurations (TransportConfig, ServerConfig, ClientConfig, EndpointConfig), and the building blocks they are made of:
range sets (RangeSet), reassembly of received data
(Assembler), buffering of sent data (SendBuffer), streams and flow control (StreamsState), packet number spaces and ACK generation
(PacketSpace), loss detection (Recovery), pacing (Pacer), path MTU discovery (MtuDiscovery) and timers (TimerTable).QUIC transport parameters (RFC 9000 section 18), carried in the TLS
quic_transport_parameters extension.-
Uses of TransportParameters in io.github.mahmoudimus.quic.connection
Methods in io.github.mahmoudimus.quic.connection that return TransportParametersMethods in io.github.mahmoudimus.quic.connection with parameters of type TransportParametersModifier and TypeMethodDescriptionbooleanStreamsState.retransmitAfterZeroRttRejected(TransportParameters params) After the server rejected 0-RTT: if what the local streams used fits the server's actual limits, takes those limits and queues everything written to be sent again in 1-RTT packets, so the streams carry on as if the early data had been lost; otherwise forgets the local streams, as quinn does (StreamsState.zeroRttRejected()).voidStreamsState.setParams(TransportParameters params) Applies the peer's transport parameters: initial stream and connection limits.voidRecovery.setPeerParams(TransportParameters params) Applies the peer's transport parameters: itsack_delay_exponent,max_ack_delayandmax_udp_payload_size. -
Uses of TransportParameters in io.github.mahmoudimus.quic.params
Methods in io.github.mahmoudimus.quic.params that return TransportParametersModifier and TypeMethodDescriptionTransportParameters.Builder.build()Builds the parameters.static TransportParametersTransportParameters.decode(byte[] encoded, boolean sentByServer) Decodes and validates the peer's transport parameters from an array.static TransportParametersTransportParameters.decode(ByteBuffer in, boolean sentByServer) Decodes and validates the peer's transport parameters.static TransportParametersTransportParameters.defaults()The parameters a peer is assumed to have when it sends none: all defaults.TransportParameters.forZeroRtt()The parameters a client remembers from a session for 0-RTT (RFC 9000 section 7.4.1), as quinn keeps them: the flow control and stream limits, the idle timeout, the payload size, the connection ID limit and DATAGRAM support, but not the connection IDs, the reset token, the preferred address or the ACK delay parameters, which belong to one connection. Methods in io.github.mahmoudimus.quic.params with parameters of type TransportParametersModifier and TypeMethodDescriptionbooleanTransportParameters.allowsResumptionFrom(TransportParameters remembered) Whether a server whose parameters these are may accept 0-RTT from a client that remembersremembered(RFC 9000 section 7.4.1): none of the limits the client may use in 0-RTT is smaller now than then.voidTransportParameters.validateResumptionFrom(TransportParameters remembered) Checks, on a client whose 0-RTT data the server accepted, that the server's new parameters allow all it may have sent under the remembered ones (quinn'svalidate_resumption_from).
